The Montgomery Dragon Boat Festival is back for the 12th year! We are excited to welcome our past teams back to the water and introduce new teams to Dragon Boat racing.

The festival will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2025 in Riverfront Park on the beautiful Alabama River from 9am til around 3pm. The festival is free to attend for spectators and fans.

The Montgomery Dragon Boat Festival is an annual community event at Riverfront Park that brings together thousands of Montgomerians to enjoy our beautiful Alabama River and celebrate teamwork and community. The highlight of the festival is the exciting dragon boat races. Long, narrow boats decorated with dragon heads and tails are paddled by teams to the beat of a drum. These races are both a competitive sport and a cultural spectacle, symbolizing strength, teamwork, and the spirit of the festival.
